Our Story & Mission

South Bay Academy is a premier K–12 Christian school in South Hillsborough County. We are a community where students are cared for, equipped, and sent into adulthood with a firm Christian worldview. While our name is new, our roots in Riverview run deep.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see
your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16

A Legacy of Excellence

Our journey is built on the faithful foundation of Livingstone Academy (Riverview Campus), which served students on this campus from 2011 through 2025. Their years of dedication, particularly in providing personalized education and exceptional ESE services, helped shape the high standard of care we provide today. We are proud to carry that legacy forward.

A Bold New Vision

In 2023, South Bay Church cast a vision to establish a K–12 institution that would continue this history of excellence under a new banner. Following a successful transition year, South Bay Academy officially launched for the 2025–2026 school year.

Our Commitment

We specialize in serving our students with a premier ESE department, specifically designed to support those with SLD and speech language impairments. At South Bay Academy, we believe every student deserves an environment where they are truly known. We combine rigorous Christian education with the specialized support necessary for every child to thrive.

Our Vision

Empowering students to become transformative Christ-centered leaders who impact the world.

Our Mission

To cultivate a Christ-centered learning community where students are cared for with compassion, equipped with excellence, sent with purpose, and connected deeply to the life of the local church.

The Crest

The Crest

The South Bay Academy crest visually represents the heart of our mission. Each quadrant of the shield highlights a core pillar.

  • The Heart represents our call to Care, showing Christ’s love in all we do.
  • The Bible stands for Equip, pointing to academic and spiritual excellence.
  • The Hands embody Send, symbolizing service and living missionally.
  • The Church Logo signifies Belong, our unity in Christ and shared great commission.

At the center, the Cross brings it all together. Christ as our foundation and covering.
